Mother's Day Brunch Inspiration

Two faves here....Brunch & Mom ♥ ♥ ♥

Mother's day is just a couple of days away and there's nothing more any mom would appreciate than to get pampered for a day (she actually deserves a whole month) after all she's done to raise your punk ass. Okay, I'm speaking for myself and my siblings here. Wether you were an angel or a devil child, a mother's love is unconditional. In honor of her, we have created a Friday Feature full of fun ideas to treat that special woman right this Sunday. We've put together a board with easy and yummy recipes, drinks, DIY's and decor full of flowers. We even got you covered with a perfect present, which also happens to be the inspiration for our Friday Feature flower madness for mom. Our personalized notecards will surely impress her and they make for practical gifts. Now get to planning and check out our inspiration board!

Here's to all of you wonderful and amazing Mothers out there!!! We hope you have a much deserved weekend full of love :)

No long rants this week because we are super busy at the studio. We somehow managed to put together a Friday Feature today considering the orders we are swamped with. So this will be a short and sweet post.

This week's Friday Feature is based on our darling mint and pink wedding invitation suite, which we like to call Maggie Mint. Pink and mint with touches of gold makes a gorgeous palette for a spring wedding. A classic color combo with a bit of vavavoom from the gold sparkles. See for yourself on our pinterest board!

100 Layer Cake Feature: A DVF Inspired Bridesmaids Party

We have been crazy swamped at the studio with wedding invitation orders that we haven't had a chance to put together a Friday Feature. Thank goodness for this fun shoot we got to be a part of on 100 Layer Cake! Now this is an inspiration that perfectly suits those who love bold colors and mixed patterns. We got to design the paper goods for a DVF bridesmaid party from the creative mind of Color Pop Events and photographed by Brklyn View Photography. What an awesome idea for a bride to throw a party for her bridesmaids and that will sure make Diane von Furstenberg proud. Check out the full feature on 100 Layer Cake!

Pink and purple are not just for 6 year old princess parties. When done right, the ombre effect of the pink and purple combo can make for a pretty swoon worthy color palette. Think soft and muted tones paired with bolder shades for a balanced look that doesn't torture the eyes.

This week we've created an inspiration board for a housewarming party based on our super adorable vintage invites. Check them out here! They can also be used for birthdays, brunch or any occasion that calls for friends and family over at your house. The colors are perfect too for Easter! Enjoy the board

Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!

ps We posted our Egg-quisite Easter Brunch feature last week. Just scroll below to see it :)

No-bunny loves pastel colors as much as we do, which makes Easter so swoon worthy for us. It's fun, colorful, and it's in Spring! Birds chirping, flowers blooming, perfect weather! Although here in LA, we are currently experiencing a 90 degree summer day. This heat is eggs-hausting, I tell ya!

This week's Friday Feature is full of awesome ideas for an Eggs-quisite Easter Brunch! Our inspiration board is packed with yummy recipes and decor ideas for an eggs-citing day. From hashbrown-crusted quiche to DIY crafts, it's a basket full of eggs-traordinary Easter brunch ideas that will impress your peeps.

Okay, okay...enough with the Easter yolks! We try to be punny around here. But really, don't be a chicken. Hop on over to our Pinterest board

Have an eggshellent Easter! ;)

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner! If you happen to be lucky in love, why not celebrate your wedding on St. Paddy's day. It's full of magical Irish luck and theme weddings are the best especially with leprechauns involved!

This week's Friday Feature is full of green with hints of gold. It's inspired by one of our wedding thank you cards that come in a bright green color. The card was originally made for gay couples, but can easily be customized to say bride & groom.

Forget chasing the end of the rainbow...we got the pot of gold on our Pinterest board!

With all the recent proposals on Valentine's day and the past few years' obsession with Mad Men and it's nearing final season (sad face here), we thought it would be fitting for an engagement party inspiration board flashback Friday style. As much as we love modern design, we also swoon over anything and everything vintage. The atomic shapes and patina palettes define the style of mid-century. It's classy yet fun, and definitely an iconic style that will never die.

This week's feature is based on our mid-century engagement party invitation. The card features an image of a dapper couple sitting on their sofa and vintage style fonts above the image. The 1950s/1960s inspired engagement party invitation can also be used for bridal shower or wedding invitations!

We hope you like the pinterest board we've created! Have a rad weekend :)

So your friends and family just threw the most amazing bridal shower for you...maybe your wedding planner pulled some extra strings to give you that one thing that was almost impossible...maybe the vendors just put up with bridezilla of the century....or maybe you just had the wedding of your dreams and you have lots of people to thank for making it a day you will never forget!

From easy DIY projects to snazzy trinkets from Etsy shops! This week's Friday Feature is chock full of gift ideas to show gratitude for the people that made your special day happen. The board was inspired by our rainbow thank you cards and we selected colorful gifts to pair with the cards!

Manners go a long always remember your "please" and "thank you's"

With that said, PLEASE go on over to our Pinterest board and check out all the fun gift ideas we've pinned. THANKS A BUNCH! :)

As much as we love weddings, we also love kid's birthday parties! Well...who are we kidding...we just love parties, period!

Children's birthday parties in particular brings a very nostalgic experience for adults. It reminds us of simpler times when all that matters were fun and games. Aaahhh those were the days...

If you are already a parent, are expecting, or newlyweds anxious to plan their unconceived child's birthday party, we've got a swell party idea full of bright happy colors that will sure be a crowd pleaser with the little humans. This week's Friday feature is based on our vintage kid's sailboat birthday party invitations. Check out the inspiration board on our pinterest page :)

A Recipe for Romance feature on Ruffled Blog

We were recently featured on Ruffled Blog for a dark and romantic styled shoot that took place in NYC. The photos came out amazing! A Recipe for Romance was such a fitting name for a post-Valentine's day feature to remind us all that love and romance shouldn't just be celebrated in one day.

Enjoy swooning over some of our favorite shots :)

Oh LA and our 80 degree winters! It's so beautiful to be outdoors right now, especially for Valentine's weekend, which inspired our Friday feature. Although it's not quite spring time yet, we are already looking forward to relaxing in gardens while sipping on tea and smelling the roses.

This week's feature is based on our Laura wedding invitation suite. Our modern take on a classic floral invitation with pink roses on a turquoise background. It screams romance! Perfect for a lovely garden or tea party wedding!

With all the orders we've been swamped with and the Toasted Wedding event we just attended, we weren't able to post a Friday Feature the last couple of weeks. Today we have a good one for ya! Here at GubbaGumma we love bright cheery colors, but we also swoon over the dark, deep, and mysterious. There's something very elegant and romantic about the color aubergine. It is absolutely perfect for a winter wedding. This week's feature spotlights our dark orchid invitation suite, the Stephanie collection.  We've created an inspiration board full of gorgeous ideas for an aubergine wedding. Click here to view the whole board :)

Brrrr.....What a chilly 72 degree winter day we are having in LA! ;p Okay so we are lucky to have warm winters here in sunny Los Angeles. Sometimes it drops down to 50 degrees and that is friggin' cold for us!

West coast or east coast, winters can be just as beautiful as warmer seasons. It is also a magical time of the year to have a wedding. This week's Friday feature is inspired by our popular Birch Tree Wedding Invitation Collection. It is absolutely perfect for a winter wedding!

Cozy up with your partner and head on over to our pinterest board to see the navy blue and white winter themed inspiration board we've just created!

Phew! We survived the holidays....hangovers and all. We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday festivities as much as we did. Now back to business here at the studio. 2015 is looking pretty exciting for us here at GubbaGumma. Especially with wedding season coming up, we are looking forward to being busy, busy, busy!

This week's feature is inspired by our popular watercolor save the date card. With all the romantic proposals during the holidays, we felt it would be fitting to create an inspiration board for an engagement party. Before the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, it's a must to first celebrate the engagement. A watercolor theme would add the perfect subtle touches of color to the party. It's a display of soft romance paired with modern whimsy. On our pinterest board you will find easy DIY projects and decor ideas for a lovely watercolor engagement party!
